Dr. Norm's Autobiography

I am an ordained minister, with a Doctorate of Divinity. And have ministered around the world in Churches and Seminaries for over 53 years, having great success in motivating Church Leaders and laymen alike to act on God's Word instead of the circumstances. 

I was born into a Presbyterian family in Northern Ireland in 1943. In my lifetime i've held a variety of responsible positions in various businesses including that of policeman, sales manager and credit manager. All of which have all helped equip me for my calling as an Ephesians 4:11 Teacher and Author to The Body of Christ world wide. 

After working in the early sixties, I was seriously injured in a car wreck and became a registered disabled person.
My left leg was smashed in five places, which necessitated 14 months in hospital and a serious battle with gangrene.

At this time I found Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
It was a long road to total recovery and wholeness, with many obstacles to overcome. My wife Elizabeth; already a committed Christian prayed for God to ‘capture’ me, and save and heal me. Although she did not contemplate me in The Ministry.

In 1971 after coming to Australia with my young family, a traveling Evangelist called Norm Armstrong prayed with for my leg. In an instant of time The Lord wonderfully and miraculously replaced the two and a half inches [5 cm’s.] of bone which had been taken out by the medical profession nearly nine years previously.                                                                     

After pastoring and pioneering seven churches, I felt The Lord made His call to travel and teach God's people the reality of The Word as a lifestyle for daily living. The mandate given was TO TAKE GOD'S WORD TO GOD’S PEOPLE AND TAKE THEM FROM WHERE THEY WERE IN THEIR EXPERIENCE TO WHERE GOD SAYS THEY ARE IN HIS WORD.

I was one of the first who pioneered the Word of Faith in Australia and was recommended by

Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin Sr, as one of the few in Australia in 1978 who were teaching the Word of Faith message.                                                                             

I've authored Bible Courses which are being used by congregations across the world as a basis for their teaching programs. As well as manuals on topics such as:

Leadership and Growth,

How To Handle Life’s Problems,

Biblical Money Management Manual,

Word Faith Works;

Love that Lasts a Lifetime,

Life Principles for The Achiever,

Jesus is The Healer,

Weapons, Warfare & Winning;

Keys for Receiving from The Lord [A study in Matthew 8; etc.].

The Character of God,

Beginners Basic Bible Course, and

Self Study Bible Course, to name a few.

I regularly taught at Rhema Australia in Brisbane and in Rhema Ministry School of The Word in Papua New Guinea and have officiated at the graduation of the students. I also also taught in Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries in Manila Philippines.

Many terminal illnesses have been healed by God's power, as well as six people being raised from the dead in the past nine years for God's glory. One recorded in September 1991 (see report from Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Magazine “Vision” December 1991). 

I have a remarkable confidence in God’s Word, and try to communicate this to my listeners. Ive done many seminars with business and networking people on areas of business including the financial realm. 

I published a weekly email study NORMality which was sent to several thousand people in 86 countries.                                 

In U.S.A. I appeared on television and radio as a guest on such programs as Paul Crouch’s P. T. L. program on Trinity Broadcasting Network and many other Christian channels across the country, and Radio stations in USA and also in UK.
